Dream weddings are being put on hold but love is not! This terrible coronavirus, Covid-19 pandemic is giving permission to couples to get creative with their weddings and allowing them to do what they want. Micro weddings, backyard weddings, elopement, intimate ceremonies are now happening more often.
James and Francesco were planning their big wedding but was forced to postpone so they opted for an intimate ceremony in the backyard, in Kenilworth, NJ! Just because it’s in the backyard, does not mean you have to go small; it does not mean you can’t personalize your details to fit your theme!
This micro wedding was planned to a T. With embroidered socks, matching button up shirts, introduction speeches, custom arbor, custom rings specifically for their backyard ceremony, a tube man that greeted guests upon entry, and so much more!
Their Wedding Intro and About their Customized Rings Specifically for Their Backyard Ceremony
“Hi family and friends! This is definitely unconventional and not what we expected or envisioned for the biggest day of our lives together. But when 2020 gives you Corona, add lime and have a margarita!
“But in all seriousness, even though this is such a dark and scary time in the world, we’re trying to make the best of it. We want to keep all of our family and friends safe during this and still celebrate the love that we have for each other….
“We wanted to tell you guys about the rings we are using today. Today, we have paper rings for our ceremony! As many of you know, Taylor Swift is a big part of our lives and on her album Lover there is a song titled Paper Rings and in it she sings, “I like shiny things but I’d marry you with paper rings”. Even though we planned a shiny, spectacular wedding that will have to wait until the world is safer, we thought using paper rings would be a fitting choice for the current situation in our lives….
“So without further ado, let’s go get married”!
James and Francesco even made their own documentary video. See their journey of how they went from happily engaged and planning, through the misery of the unknown, and back to excitedly planning for their backyard ceremony. Check it out here.
And if you want more, their intimate backyard wedding has been featured in TAPintoKenilworth.
