The days leading up to Karin and Max’s wedding were hectic. They had to pack their car with all their wedding day details to take the eleven hour journey from Georgia to Indiana, where the majority of their family and friends lived. For a regular wedding day, you have to make sure all the details are in place, can’t forget any article of clothing (which happens quite often), and make sure everyone is doing what they are supposed to be doing and going to where they are needed. Imagine controlling all of that from another state?! WOW! Karin and Max did it and did it well!
Even though planning their wedding celebration was a bit crazy, the way they’re relationship bloomed was quite the opposite. Karin and Max met in a quiet place at the IUPUI University Library, where they both worked. Their first dates involved late night walks at a neighborhood park. They would relax at the swings where Max would push Karin. Finally one night, Max brought out the big guns! Being a strong man, and Karin being a former diver, it was time to show off their strength. Max decided to show Karin how to do handstand push-ups. These push-ups must have had Max’s endorphins flowing because this is the night Max finally pulled Karin in for a kiss! For Karin and Max, there was no “ah-ha! this is my future” moment. Over time they realized that they not only meshed well together but also communicated well and worked together to make their relationship grow stronger. So, when did he propose?!? On their third anniversary, Max treated Karin to a dinner movie theater. Afterwards, they drove down to the park where they spent their first few dates. Karin was sitting on the swing but this time there was no pushing and there were no handstand pushups. Instead, there was Max bending down on one knee asking his beloved to be his wife!
Karin and Max began their wedding day by prepping their venue for their DIY wedding. Bouquets, center pieces and all the decor were all beautifully put together with the help of friends and family. Once the locale was wedding ready, it was time for the bride and groom to get all fancied up. Max looked handsome in his dark navy blue suit while Karin glowed in her white wedding dress accented by her blusher veil. Her purple streaked hair added a unique edge to her vintage headpiece and some sass to her entire ensemble. As they were getting ready, everything started to seamlessly fall into place. When it was time for the ceremony, Karin’s father, Keith, walked her down the isle. Karin and Max locked eyes and that moment of excitement and love had the entire room mesmerized. Following the ceremony, guests wasted no time to hit the dance floor. They were a very lively crowd ready to dance and celebrate!
The moment you realize your locked in! Hahah!
